
On Saturday, June 10, LTV Studios will host an inspiring educational afternoon celebrating Indigenous Fashion and Film. This unique event will feature the exclusive designs of fashion designer Kayla Lookinghorse alongside the creative storytelling of filmmaker, videographer, and editor Ginew Benton. The program includes a showcase of Lookinghorse’s work, a screening of Benton’s film The Dim, and a Native American Short Film Festival.
Both Lookinghorse and Benton are proud Native American artists whose work highlights the beauty and resilience of Indigenous cultures. Benton, who has previously created documentaries about Lookinghorse’s designs, shared that the event’s inspiration came from LTV Executive Director Michael Clark. Clark, who appears in The Dim, suggested combining a film festival with a fashion show during a test screening of Benton’s film at Southampton Cultural Center.
